LPW - Elgin, 15J, 6S, heavy 14K gold original K. & U. Mfg. Co. (Keller & Untermeyer) HC with spectacular fluted and engraved front and rear, scalloped band, gold cuvette with 1896 inscription, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, nickel damascene, s#6133689. Gross weight of assembled watch 37.8 dwt (58.8 g). An exceptional case, with tremendous eye appeal and in superb crisp condition.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; visible portion of dial with some hand rub to upper perimeter of seconds-register; fine hands, seconds-hand with finish loss, minute hand with slight bend and oxide to its tip; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb engraving detail, cuvette with some scratches from slipped past openings, cuvette with some depressions of surface caused by engraving which also has some visible trace through to inner side of cuvette; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; clean plastic crystal.
